The Revolutionary War RETURN TO REVOLUTIONARY WAR MAIN PAGE

School Library Journal Review

The American Revolutionary War comes to life in this well-done production. Ably narrated by Joe Leahy, archival paintings and animated maps combined with live-action historical re-enactments of Revolutionary War battles visually illustrate the 13 colonies, where the British and Colonial armies marched, and where the major battles were fought. The animated maps show the geographical limitations imposed upon the original 13 colonies and the role that geography played in the founding of our country. The length of the production is well thought out to provide class time for discussion. The teaching objectives are superbly met, and the technical qualifies are very good. This is an exciting production to enrich history curriculums for the targeted age groups and for public libraries with home school collections.-Kathy Dummer, Newcastle Middle School, WY
